Recent research from the Governor’s Executive Workforce Board found that from the graduating classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022, there are over 5,000 students per year in central Ohio who did not enroll in college or pursue a postsecondary program. As a result, many of these young people are underemployed or unemployed.

The ESC of Central Ohio recently received a grant from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to address this issue. The goal is simple: help these young people establish a career trajectory by finding good paying jobs with respected central Ohio employers.

This work will unfold through strategic partnerships with nationally recognized experts.

  • Graduation Alliance will identify central Ohio graduates who, according to the National Student Clearinghouse, did not enroll in college.

  • Paul Werth Associates will select desirable central Ohio employers to participate in the program, and then implement a strategic job awareness campaign that seamlessly moves graduates into the recruitment pipeline.

  • SchooLinks will facilitate the application process, creating connections between the employers and your graduates.
